Madhya Pradesh Krishak Sehkari Rin Mitra Yojana

A new farmer friendly scheme has been launched by the state government of Madhya Pradesh termed as Krishak Sahakari Rin Mitra Yojana. The new scheme is a cooperative loan scheme for farmers. Under the new scheme the state farmers will be provided with assistance for making the repayment of their crop and agricultural loan amount with the desired time frame.

Launched on the occasion  –  64th anniversary of All Indian Cooperative week event.

Features of the scheme

  • Main aim of the scheme – With the launch of the new scheme the state government aims at motivating the farmers of the state so they make the repayment of their pending crop and agriculture loans on time to the respective banks. This is valid for farmers at the district as well as state level.
  • Beneficiaries – Under the scheme the government shall offer the benefits to all farmers within the state and in various districts who have been making the repayment of the loan amount on time for past three to five years. The state government has also stated that respective farmers will be rewarded at both district and state level for timely repayment of loan amount.
  • Rewards to farmers – Under the new scheme the state government will honor the farmers by registering them and citing them at the co-operative society. If the farmer has managed to repay back the loan amount on time for past three years then he shall be awarded at the district level. If the farmer has managed to repay back the loan amount on time for past five years then he shall be awarded by the government at the state level.
  • Employment and other benefits – For each eligible farmer the state government will also try and create with multiple employment opportunities within various rural areas. For better implementation, a proper committee will be formed by the government. Under the scheme the government will also ensure that eligible farmers get access to the Federation committee for information collection.

By the launch of the new scheme the state government aims at motivating more number of farmers in the state to make the repayment of loans to the banks on time.
