GO-SWIFT web portal Odisha single portal for the single window for investors

Orissa state government has introduced a web portal for the business industry in the state. GO-SWIFT, the web portal will facilitate the business people for making easy business. Starting from payments to racking every bit of business, all things can be done through the web portal by the state government of Orissa.

Launch Details

The portal GO-SWIFT was launched in the year 2017 on 16th of Nov. Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik, in an event held in Bhubaneswar has launched the portal. Government of Orissa – Single Window for Investment Facilitation and Tracking aka GO-SWIFT will be a one-stop solution for all the businesses in the state.

Web portal – Key Features

  • Development: The web portal was developed by the Orissa State Industries Department. It will also be supervised by the industries department as well.
  • Departments and Services: Under the state government total 15 departments will be covered in the portal. Under those departments 32 services will be available in GO-SWIFT.
  • Benefits: Under this portal all these 32 services will be available online. Investors will get all sort of information regarding payments, application process, tracking, application submit and so on. The state has planned to cover more services from more departments soon in the portal.
  • Projects and Investment: The authority has added 15 industrial projects to the web portal. Total of Rs. 11, 689.96 Cr would be the investment amount required for these projects. These projects come under ‘Make in Orissa Conclave’ for the year 2016.
  • Industrial Units: After a month of time the web portal successfully grabbed attention of nearly 3615 numbers of Industrial Units. The state authority has stated that they will be able to speed up the investment process with the portal.
  • Single window-single portal: Orissa is the first state that started a single portal for the single window for investors. All other states have similar kind of portals but they have different websites for different services such as approvals and inspections and so on.
  • Enquiry System: A query management system has been developed under this portal. According to this system a government official can ask any question on any investor’s application within 7 days from the application submission. After that time period no official will be eligible to raise any question against the application.
  • Time Bound: The system/portal has everything within time bound. All the officials as well as investors have to work within the system time frame. This will be helpful to accelerate work process for both the parties.

With this portal investors not only get to know the details of the upcoming projects, but also with the help of GIS enabled system, they will be able to get information about lands as well.
