Ek Musht Samjhauta Yojana

A new scheme has launched to facilitate the people who have taken loans for the housing development. Those who are unable to repay the loan will be offered a onetime settlement to repay the loan. Ek Musht Samjhauta Yojana has been started by the central government of India.

Launch Details

Rajya Sahakari Awas Sangh has launched Ek Musht Samjhauta Scheme during first week of January 2018. The Manager of the Sangh Mr. CS Dabar has officially announced about the scheme. Members of the primary housing cooperative committees will be waived off in this scheme.

Key Features

  • Objective: The scheme will be aimed to recover loans that are pending for a long. Debtors who have taken loan but unable to pay can join the scheme for benefits.
  • Benefits: Committee members who are unable to repay the housing loan will now have to pay a certain amount. The loan amount will be settled by the authority.
  • Beneficiaries: As per the scheme, 3133 numbers of people will be benefitted from the scheme. Over 200 organisations are associated with the scheme to provide the benefits of the scheme.
  • Defaulters: Those who are defaulters and have burden of late fine imposed on the interest payment or principle amount will be freed from all the payments.
  • Discrimination: The scheme will not discriminate among the committee members. All the facilities under the scheme will be available for the members who are unable to repay loan.
  • Implementation: The committee members will have to send their information to the committee heads. All the information regarding loan, repayment period, interest details and bank details to be submitted for further process.

The scheme has launched to recover the pending loans as well as facilitate the committee members who are defaulters and can’t afford to repay the loan.
