CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2020

In order to appear for CA Foundation examination, ICAI has laid down several eligibility criteria. Only the students who meet these eligibility criteria will be allowed to appear for the examination. These criteria are:

  1. To register with Board of Studies on or before June 30 and December 31 to appear for November and May attempt respectively.
  2. He/ she should have passed the 12th examination from a respected board.

However, it is to be noted that the students who have completed bachelor or master degree in commerce (securing marks) and a degree in Science/ Arts (securing marks) are exempted from appearing in the CA Foundation and are directly qualifies to CA Inter.

CA Foundation is first step toward the journey of CA and which is followed by CA Inter and CA Final. Previously, ICAI conducted CPT which was then converted to CA Foundation, w. e. f., May 2018. It is conducted twice a year in May and in November.
